Stolen Weapon, Fentanyl Seized During Hudson Valley Traffic Stop: Police
State police said they discovered the items after pulling over a Mercedes.

EAST FISHKILL, NY — Fentanyl and a stolen gun were seized from a Mercedes after troopers pulled the vehicle over on the Taconic State Parkway Monday, state police said.
Police did a traffic stop of the 2016 Mercedes at 11:07 a.m. on the northbound side of the parkway.
According to police, about 8.6 grams of fentanyl was visible in plain view.

All three occupants of the vehicle were taken into custody, including the driver, Jazzon Foster, 18, of Kingston; and two passengers, Elijah Dunn, 18, of Tillson; and Shaheem Jackson, 20, of Poughkeepsie.
Police said they also found a loaded handgun in Jackson’s possession, and they determined it had been reported stolen from Connecticut.

Jackson was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance (intent to sell); second-degree criminal possession of a weapon (loaded firearm); fourth-degree criminal possession of a narcotic, fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property; and criminal possession of a firearm.
Foster and Dunn were both charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance (intent to sell), and fourth-degree criminal possession of a narcotic.
All three have been arraigned. Foster and Dunn were released on their own recognizance. Jackson was remanded to the Dutchess County Justice and Transition Center in lieu of $15,000 cash bail, $30,000 bond, or a $140,000 partially secured bond.
