Stony Ford and Hickory Hill Golf Courses Open Early

Golf courses are opening 3-4 weeks earlier than normal due to the mild winter.

From the Orange County Department of Parks, Recreation and Conservation:

Orange County Executive Steven M. Neuhaus and Orange County Department of Parks, Recreation and Conservation Commissioner Richard Rose have announced that Stony Ford Golf Course in Montgomery and Hickory Hill Golf Course in Warwick opened for the 2016 golf season on March 18, conditions and weather permitting. Golf courses are opening 3-4 weeks earlier than normal due to the mild winter.

Both courses will begin the season with cart path restrictions until the courses have dried out. Tee times are available Friday through Sunday for the first two weeks by calling the courses. Automated tee times will be available beginning April 1 at golf.orangecountygov.com.

Each course features a pro shop, driving range and concession/restaurant with banquet room. Catering services are available for golf outings, wedding receptions, private parties and more.
