Storm Warning In Effect For Parts Of Mid-Hudson Valley

The National Weather Service keeps increasing the expected amount of snowfall.

With the season's first major snowstorm bearing down on the Hudson Valley, the National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for parts of the mid-Hudson Valley. The storm warning is in effect from 7 a.m. Sunday to midnight Monday for western Ulster and Greene counties.

The NWS said heavy snow is expected. Total snow accumulations of 12 to 24 inches are possible.

Travel could be very difficult to impossible.

The hazardous conditions will impact the Monday morning and evening commutes.

If you must travel, the NWS said to keep an extra flashlight, food and water in your vehicle is case of an emergency.
