A special weather alert has been issued for Dutchess, southeastern Ulster and southwestern Columbia counties until 9:45 p.m.

At 850 PM EDT, radar indicated strong thunderstorms were locatedalong a line extending from near Red Hook to Ellenville. Movement waseast at 20 mph.Winds in excess of 30 mph are possible with these storms.

- Red Hook around 855 PM EDT.
- Wallkill, Pine Plains and Ancram around 920 PM EDT.
- Modena around 925 PM EDT.
- Plattekill around 930 PM EDT.
- Amenia and Millerton around 940 PM EDT.
- Beacon, Wappingers Falls, Fishkill, Marlboro and Myers Corner around 945 PM EDT.
Other locations impacted by these storms include Norrie Heights, Maple Hill, Atwood, Lithgow, Hoxie Corner, Linden Acres, Elting Corners, South Amenia, Pleasant Ridge and Washington Hollow.

This Includes Interstate 87 between exits 18 and 19.
