Suit Filed Against Proposed Amazon Warehouse

The suit claims environmental reviews didn't consider the cumulative effect of all the projects.

MONTGOMERY, NY — Another lawsuit challenging the proposed Amazon warehouse has been filed. The suit claims the developer's environmental reviews didn't consider the cumulative effect of all the projects that are before the town boards.

Montgomery property owners, who filed the lawsuit with the Orange County Supreme Court, also said the developers did not review the socio-economic impact of adding more than 1,000 employees to the town's workforce, which is 4,100, the Poughkeepsie Journal reported.

Projects before the planning board include 11 warehouses and distribution centers, totaling more than 3 million square feet.
