Sullivan Man Accused Of Christmas Day Grocery Store Theft
Police said he is awaiting extradition from Pennsylvania.
HIGHLAND, NY — A Sullivan County man was accused of stealing more than $15,000 from a grocery store on Christmas Day. State police said Gary Klopchin, 54, of Eldred, was charged Thursday with third-degree grand larceny.
Police said, on Wednesday, Klopchin entered Pecks Market grocery store, which is located on Proctor Road in the Town of Highland and took more than $15,000.
He was found in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania, where he was arrested and sent to Luzerne County Jail awaiting extradition to New York.
