Sunshine On The Way First In Poughkeepsie

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — Sunshine is coming. Saturday and Sunday clouds will diminish and temperatures will climb to slightly above seasonal normals, reaching into the lower 80s across much of the Hudson Valley.

"Conditions should improve over the weekend, slowly … as the sun should slowly return over the next day or two," said Alex Marra and Bill Potter at Hudson Valley Weather. "Then our eyes turn to the remnants of Hurricane Florence, which will get caught in a frontal trough and likely rotate northward toward the Hudson Valley by late Monday and into Tuesday."

• Friday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 79. East wind 3 to 5 mph.
• Friday Night: Patchy fog after 3am. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 62. Light southeast wind.
• Saturday: Patchy fog before 8am. Otherwise, partly sunny, with a high near 81. Calm wind.
• Saturday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 62. Calm wind.
• Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 82. Light and variable wind.
• Sunday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 62.
