Tech CEO, John Jay Grad, Found Dismembered In NYC

NEW YORK CITY — The body of a tech CEO, who was a Dutchess County resident, was found decapitated, dismembered and placed inside plastic bags in a luxury Manhattan apartment Tuesday, police and reports said.

Police confirmed the body was Fahim Saleh, 33, a Bangladeshi-American entrepreneur behind ride-hailing apps in Bangladesh and Nigeria.

Saleh lived in Hopewell Junction and graduated in 2005 from John Jay High School, the Poughkeepsie Journal reported.

Police found his body inside a 265 East Houston St. apartment at about 3:35 p.m., authorities said.

Saleh had been decapitated and dismembered — his body was found stuffed in plastic bags near a table saw, according to the New York Post.

Unreleased video footage from Monday showed Saleh in an elevator with the suspected killer, who attacked him near the apartment, according to the Post.

The killing prompted shock in New York City and grief in Nigeria, where Saleh's motorbike-hailing app Gokada is popular.

Gokada's official Twitter posted a farewell to Saleh.
