Teen Accused Of Sex Assaults At Hudson Valley Boarding School

MONTGOMERY, NY — A California teenager is accused of sex assaults at a boarding school in the Hudson Valley. State police said the alleged assaults took place on the campus of the Storm King School in Cornwall-on-Hudson during the fall 2019 semester.

Henry Alvarez, 19, of Shadow Hills, California, was charged Monday with two counts of Sexual Abuse 1st degree, a felony; two counts of Forcible Touching, a misdemeanor; and Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a misdemeanor.

His arrest was the result of an investigation jointly conducted by the New York State Police Campus Sexual Assault Victims Unit (Troop F) and the State Police Montgomery Bureau of Criminal Investigation, state police said.

Alvarez was arraigned before town of Cornwall Justice F. Navarra and posted $5,000 cash bail pending a future court appearance, police said.
