The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for a few counties in the Hudson Valley.

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — There is the possibility of thunderstorms in parts of the Hudson Valley Friday. To that end, the National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for Columbia, Dutchess and Ulster counties.
For Friday, the weather service said isolated non-severe thunderstorms are expected during the afternoon and early evening hours. Some of the storms will be accompanied by a period of heavy rainfall and lightning.

The forecast from the National Weather Service through the weekend for the mid-Hudson Valley is as follows:
- Friday: Isolated showers and thunderstorms after noon. Mostly sunny, with a high near 85. Southwest wind 3 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
- Friday Night: Patchy fog after 5am. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 66. Light south wind.
- Saturday: Scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 3pm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Mostly sunny, with a high near 86. Calm wind becoming southwest 5 to 7 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
- Saturday Night: Scattered showers, mainly before 7pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 65. Calm wind. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
- Sunday: Scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 2pm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Partly sunny, with a high near 85. Calm wind becoming south around 6 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
