Tractor-Trailers Involved In I-84 Accident

Delays still exist on the interstate because one lane is still blocked.

MAYBROOK, NY — An accident has shut down Interstate 84 in the area of Maybrook Saturday morning. The crash happened around 8:30 a.m.

Several tractor-trailers were involved, MidHudson News reported, and one person is trapped in a vehicle.

The person was extricated and transported to a hospital by helicopter.

The state Department of Transportation website said the crash occurred on I-84 westbound west of Exit 5 (I-84) - Maybrook (NY 208)(Montgomery).

As of 11:15 a.m., the right lane of two lanes is blocked.
