Traffic Stop Yields Drug Charges For Upstate Man
He faces a combination of felony and misdemeanor counts.

NEWBURGH, NY — A Plattsburgh man was arrested in Newburgh April 19 and now faces drug-related charges. State Police said Anthony J. Ducharme, 25, of Plattsburgh, was charged with two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree criminal possession of marijuana, both felonies, and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia, both misdemeanors.
Police conducted a vehicle and traffic stop in the Town of Newburgh and found Ducharme allegedly had a large quantity of cocaine and marijuana in the car.
He also allegedly had a small quantity of concentrated cannabis and packaging material and equipment. Police said he intended to use it unlawfully to package a narcotic drug.

Ducharme was arraigned in the Town of Newburgh Court and sent to the Orange County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bail or bond.

He is scheduled to reappear in court April 24.
