Two Hudson Valley Men Face Drugs Charges, More In Columbia County
One of the men was driving with a suspended license.

CLAVERACK, NY — Two mid-Hudson Valley men were arrested on drug charges after a traffic stop in Columbia County. State police said they stopped a Jeep Grand-Cherokee on the Taconic State Parkway around 3 p.m. April 28 in the Town of Claverack for violations of the vehicle and traffic law.
Police said Ryan W. Belcher, 31, of Red Hook was driving with a suspended license and was in possession of small amount of cocaine.
Further investigation found Adrien G. Cadwallader, 27, of Oneonta, had about 12.5 rams of heroin, 3.8 grams of crack-cocaine, 1.6 grams of cocaine and 2.8 grams of marijuana.

The men were arraigned in the Town of Claverack Court.
Cadwallader was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, felonies, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.

Belcher was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, misdemeanors.
Cadwallader was sent to the Columbia County Jail without bail and is scheduled to reappear in court May 4.
Belcher was sent to the Columbia County Jail in lieu of $500 bail or $1,000 bond. He is scheduled to reappear in court May 15.
