TX Man Arrested For Having Illegal Handgun: Police
Police said they made the initial traffic stop because of the car's windows were too dark.
WAPPINGERS FALLS, NY — A Texas man was arrested by the State Police for having an illegal handgun and some marijuana. Dorian A. Mitchell, 21, of Fort Worth, TX was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a felony, and unlawful possession of marijuana.
Police said Mitchell was stopped Oct. 27 around 10:05 p.m. on Route 9 near Schuyler Boulevard for an unlawful window tint.
He was found to be in possession of a loaded 9mm handgun and a small quantity of marijuana, police said.

Mitchell was arraigned in the Town of East Fishkill Court and sent to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bail or $40,000 bond.
His next scheduled court appearance is for Nov. 2 in the Village of Fishkill Court.
