Ulster County Teens Recovered From Possible Prostitution Scheme

ULSTER COUNTY, NY — Two teens from Ulster County, who were being held in Brooklyn and faced being prostituted, were recovered by the New York Police Department Saturday. Three Bronx residents were arrested and charged with felonies, including compelling prostitution, attempted sex trafficking and attempted promoting prostitution.

The girls, who were 14 and 15, had gone to Brooklyn with the suspects, though police couldn’t say how they all knew each other, the Poughkeepsie Journal said. (For more information on this and other neighborhood stories, subscribe to Patch to receive daily newsletters and breaking news alerts.)

The 15-year-old managed to reach her father, who in turn called the police.
