Ulster Man Accused In Fatal Shooting
The shooting occurred in the early morning hours of Tuesday in the town of Shawangunk.
SHAWANGUNK, NY — An Ulster County man was accused of fatally shooting another man in the town of Shawangunk.
The New York State Police said the shooting occurred around 5 a.m. Tuesday on Vinegar Hill Road.
Troopers said they found someone who had been shot outside a home.

The victim was identified as Michael A. Hankins, 29, of Woodridge. He was deceased, police said.
A preliminary investigation led to the arrest of Walter D. Post Jr., 26, of Shawangunk.

He was charged with second-degree murder, a felony, and sent to the Ulster County Jail.
The state police said the investigation is ongoing.
