Ulster Man Charged With Rape, Sex Assault
The investigation was conducted by the state police and its Campus Sexual Assault Victims Unit.

GARDINER, NY — An Ulster County man was arrested and charge with rape. State police said Brittin L. Caffrey, 27, of Gardiner, was charged with first-degree rape and first-degree sexual abuse, both felonies.
Police said Caffrey's arrest was the result of an investigation conducted by state police at Highland and the state police Campus Sexual Assault Victims Unit into a sexual assault complaint that was reported the Town of Gardiner.
It was determined that the sexual assault occurred at an off-campus location

Caffrey was arraigned in the Town of Gardiner Justice Court and sent to the Ulster County Jail pending future court appearance.
