United Way Collecting Needed Supplies For Newburgh Storm Victims
The United Way said that 100 percent of donations will to go to items for Newburgh residents.

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — United Way of the Dutchess-Orange Region is collecting items that Newburgh residents desparately need in the wake of the devastating storm Tuesday. Items can be dropped off at the United Way’s Poughkeepsie office, 75 Market Street, through Friday, May 25, during business hours, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Alternatively, call Rae Leiner at 917-569-6094 or Javier Gomez at 845-392-7240 to coordinate. United Way can do the shopping for you, the organization said.

Items that are needed include:
- Hand-held snack items, such as granola bars, peanut butter crackers, etc.
- Pop-top ready-to-eat foods, such as applesauce or fruit cups
- Easily opened, shelf-stable pantry items, such as peanut butter, jelly, bread
- Diapers, sizes 4, 5, 6
- Pull-ups
- Any type of moist towelettes
- Adult diapers (M, L, XL)
- Personal hygiene products for babies and adults, such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, feminine hygiene products, etc.
- Hand sanitizer
- Portable cell phone battery charges
- Coolers
- Ice
The United Way said that 100 percent of donations will to go to items for Newburgh residents.
