The Valley Table and Hudson Valley Restaurant Week will soon be based out of Today Media’s Fishkill office. They will work closely with the editorial and sales staff of Hudson Valley Magazine to maximize and grow both the magazine and the restaurant week events.
In 1998, after traveling 35,000 miles across the country seeking authentic American experiences, Crawshaw and Novesky founded The Valley Table magazine with the goal of amplifying the voice of local chefs, farmers and producers. Eight years later they launched Hudson Valley Restaurant Week. The two-week culinary event, which takes place each spring and fall, began with 70 restaurants and the backing of a distinguished group of chefs, restaurateurs and tourism leaders. Now, more than 200 restaurants, spanning seven counties, participate in the event. It is among the largest restaurant week events in the country, supporting sustainability, small businesses and the “eat, drink and buy local” movement.
