Victim, Shooter ID'd In Hudson Valley Murder-Suicide: Police

WARWICK, NY — Police continue to investigate a fatal shooting in Orange County Saturday in which the gunman killed himself.

The New York State Police said troopers were called to Newport Bridge Road in Pine Island around 4:20 p.m. Saturday.

Ryan Wendt, 38, of Warwick was found outside with a gunshot wound.

He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police said the investigation found that Wendt was intentionally shot following a dispute by Timothy Todman Jr., 35, of Warwick.

According to authorities, Todman then killed himself with a gun.

The investigation remains ongoing.
