Vote On Transferring Bus Assets Postponed In Poughkeepsie
No new date has been set for the Common Council vote.

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — There will not be a vote Thursday in Poughkeepsie to transfer the city’s bus assets to the county. Only half of the eight Common Council members had said they were attending the special meeting.
If the city doesn’t transfer the assets to Dutchess County, then the city has to pay a $1.9 million penalty to the federal government, the Poughkeepsie Journal said. Mayor Rob Rolison said the council members need to do their jobs and vote up or down on the issue.
