Walkway To Open Dutchess Side Welcome Center

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — The Walkway Over the Hudson will officially open the doors to the Dutchess Welcome Center at 2 p.m. Thursday. The free event is open to the public, Walkway organizers said.
State Parks Commissioner Erik Kulleseid and Friends of the Walkway Over the Hudson Executive Director Elizabeth Waldstein-Hart will be on hand for the event.
Public tours and an open house of the new building, entrances and seating areas will begin at 2 p.m., with the ribbon-cutting ceremony at 3 p.m.

Afterward, there will also be a ceremonial procession to the newly reopened elevator connecting the Walkway to the riverfront parks on the Hudson River.
