Wappingers Falls Site Of Dutchess County St. Patrick's Parade

The parade will be in-person this year on Saturday in the village.

WAPPINGERS FALLS, NY — The Dutchess County St. Patrick's Parade steps off Saturday in-person in Wappingers Falls.

The parade begins at 1 p.m. — rain or shine — on Route 9D at North Street and travels through the village ending at Mesier Park.

Joseph Corrigan, a retired Wappingers Central School District educator, is the 2022 grand marshal.

This year the parade is being dedicated to Dutchess County Sheriff Adrian "Butch" Anderson who died in September. He was a longtime supporter of the parade and a frequent participant, parade officials said.

Participants in the parade include Dutchess County Executive Marc Molinaro, Wappingers Falls Mayor Rick Cerino, state Senator Sue Serino, Assemblywoman Didi Barrett as well as other local officials.

Town of Wappinger Councilman William Beale will be emceeing the parade at the reviewing stand.

The annual mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Church in Wappingers Falls.
