Wappingers Falls Woman Accused Of Illegally Taking Food Stamps
She was arraigned and released to reappear in court July 5.

WAPPINGERS FALLS, NY — The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office said a Wappingers Falls woman was arrested Thursday for illegally taking welfare benefits. Ann Marie Rosario, 48, was charged with third-degree welfare fraud, a felony.
An investigation by the sheriff’s office detective division, in conjunction with the Investigations Division of the Dutchess County Department of Community and Family Services, found that Rosario illegally obtained more than $3,000 in SNAP benefits — which were formerly know as food stamps — between June 2016 and Sept. 2016 by concealing the fact that she had other income.

She was arraigned at the City of Poughkeepsie Court and released to reappear July 5.
