Warm Nights: Poughkeepsie's Weekend Weather
Here are the muggy details for the weekend around Newburgh and Beacon.

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — More rain is coming to the Hudson Valley over the weekend — thankfully not heavy rain, the kind forecast for much of the Mid-Atlantic. But what's going to make us uncomfortable will be the hot, muggy nights.
There is a hazardous weather outlook for Columbia, Dutchess and Ulster counties for Friday, due to scattered thunderstorms expected Friday afternoon into the evening.
"Locations from the southern plains to the Ohio Valley and the eastern states will be quite warm and muggy, with well above normal temperatures on both Friday and Saturday," said the National Weather Service. "The big story with this warmth however will be the very warm overnight temperatures."

As for the precipitation expected:
"A rather sharp northern edge to the rain may develop somewhere from southern New York state and the northern parts of Pennsylvania and New Jersey during Saturday night and Sunday," said Alex Sosnowski, AccuWeather senior meteorologist. "People waiting for a long string of days with sunshine, warmth and low humidity will likely have to wait a while longer in the Northeast."
