Weather Advisories Issued for the Mid-Hudson Valley for Saturday

Conditions should improve as the temperature rises above freezing.

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — The National Weather Service has issued two advisories for the Mid-Hudson Valley area.

Orange County is under freezing rain advisory starting at 4 a.m. Saturday and expiring at 9 a.m.

The NWS said the freezing rain early Saturday morning will change to plain rain by mid-morning. Hazardous conditions are expected due to ice.

For Columbia, Dutchess and Ulster counties, a winter weather advisory was issued for 4 a.m. Saturday to noon Saturday.

The weather service said light snow, sleet and freezing rain will begin across the region by 4 a.m. and change to freezing rain and sleet by daybreak.
