Weeklong Taconic Lane, Ramp Closures Start Sunday Night
The overnight work is scheduled from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly for most of this week, according to the NYSDOT.

DUTCHESS COUNTY, NY — After a day of upstate leaf-peeping, there will be some overnight roadwork to keep an eye on.
The New York State Department of Transportation said that several lane and ramp closures along the Taconic State Parkway in Dutchess County will take place nightly, from Sunday through Thursday, for paving work. The work will take place between 7 p.m. to 5 a.m., weather permitting.
The following closures are planned:

- Taconic State Parkway northbound & southbound ramps to Exit 41 (Beekman Rd.) in the Town of East Fishkill;
- Taconic State Parkway northbound & southbound ramps at Exit 47 (State Rte. 55) in the Town of LaGrangeville;
- Taconic State Parkway will be reduced to one lane in each direction between Exit 43 (State Route 82) and Exit 37 (Interstate 84) in the Town of East Fishkill.
Drivers should follow the posted detours.
The NYSDOT is reminding drivers to slow down and drive responsibly in work zones. Remember, fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in a driver's license suspension.
