Weeklong Taconic Parkway Lane, Ramp Closures Start Sunday Night

DUTCHESS COUNTY, NY — After a day of upstate leaf-peeping, there will again be some overnight roadwork to keep an eye on.

The New York State Department of Transportation said that several lane and ramp closures along the Taconic State Parkway in Dutchess County will again take place nightly, from Sunday through Thursday, for paving work. The work will take place between 7 p.m. to 5 a.m., weather permitting.

The following closures are planned:

• Taconic State Parkway northbound & southbound ramps to Exit 38 (State Route 52) in the Town of East Fishkill
• Taconic State Parkway northbound & southbound ramps at Exit 47 (State Route 55) in the Town of LaGrangeville
• Taconic State Parkway northbound & southbound ramps to westbound Interstate 84 in the Town of East Fishkill
• Taconic State Parkway will be reduced to one lane in each direction between Exit 47 (State Route 55) and Exit 37 (Interstate 84) in the Town of East Fishkill

Drivers should follow the posted detours.

The NYSDOT is reminding drivers to slow down and drive responsibly in work zones. Remember, fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in a driver's license suspension.
