Welcome Sign Placement Rankles Some In Wallkill
Town officials said they have no plans to relocate the new sign.
WALLKILL, NY — A new welcome sign in Wallkill has offended some residents because of where it’s been placed. The sign says, “Where happy babies are born,” but town officials put it on town-owned property that happens to be the Bloomingburg Rural Cemetery.
The $10,000 sign sits on the outskirts of the cemetery property, News 12 said.
The town said it is not planning on moving the welcome sign.
