Winds Cause Power Outages in Orange, Ulster, Dutchess

The majority of customers without power are west of the Hudson River.

High winds overnight have caused scattered power outages throughout the Mid-Hudson Valley.

As of 9 a.m. Tuesday, NYSEG’s outage map and list report that 20 customers are without power in Dutchess County, with the majority of them in Pawling.

Central Hudson’s outage information said there are 1,453 customers without power covering 48 active outages.

There are scattered power outages in Dutchess County, but the bulk of the customers without power are in Newburgh in Orange County and Ulster County.

The National Weather Service still has a Wind Advisory in effect until noon Tuesday.

Winds are expected to continue at 20 to 30 mph, with gust up to 50 mph.
