Winner Projected In Ulster County Sheriff's Race
BREAKING: We have a projected winner in the race between Juan Figueroa and Paul J. VanBlarcum.

KINGSTON, NY — Democrat Juan Figueroa is projected to win over Paul J. VanBlarcum, who was running as a Republican, preventing him from serving another term as Ulster County sheriff.
The unofficial vote tally, with 92 percent of election districts reporting, is 35,819 for Figueroa and 30,412 for VanBlarcum.
Figueroa, 53, works in corporate security and previously worked with the New York State Police. VanBlarcum, 63, has been Ulster County sheriff since 2007. He has been with the sheriff's office since 1976.
