Winter Storm Watch In Effect In Mid-Hudson Valley
The hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday evening and Friday morning commute.

A winter storm watch has been issued for parts of the Hudson Valley in advance of the first snow event of the season. The National Weather Service said the watch is in effect from 4 p.m. Thursday until 1 p.m. Friday for Columbia, Dutchess and Ulster counties.
The NWS said heavy mixed precipitation is possible. The total snow accumulations of 2 to 5 inches and ice accumulations of up to one tenth of an inch is possible.
Motorists should plan on slippery road conditions.
