Winter Weather Advisory Issued For Parts Of Mid-Hudson Valley

The morning commute could be slippery, the National Weather Service said.

The first winter-like event of the season is heading to the mid-Hudson Valley. To that end, the National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory.

It is in effect from 3 a.m. to 10 a.m. Tuesday for Columbia, eastern Ulster and western Dutchess counties.

Mixed precipitation is expected, the weather service said. Total snow accumulations of up to 1 inch and ice accumulations of a light glaze.
