Winter Weather Advisory For Mid-Hudson Valley

Motorists should plan on slippery road conditions.

A winter weather advisory was issued by the National Weather Service for parts of the Hudson Valley in advance of the next snow/wintry mix event heading to the region. The advisory, which is in effect from 4 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday covers Columbia, Dutchess and Ulster counties.

The NWS said that mixed precipitation is expected.

Total snow and sleet accumulations are forecast to be around an inch with ice accumulation of a light glaze for most areas.

Over the eastern Catskills, there could be 1 to 3 inches of snow and sleet and around 1/10th of an inch of ice.
