HUDSON VALLEY, NY — The region is expected to get a wintry mix of precipitation on Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.

“A wintry mix may begin early Tuesday morning, likely quickly becoming all rain,” the National Weather Service reported on Monday.

For the northern Hudson Valley region, it anticipates a chance of snow before 1 p.m. on Tuesday, then rain and snow between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m., then rain after 4 p.m. and lasting into Tuesday night.

In the southern Hudson Valley, Tuesday will mostly bring rain, with some initial snow mixed in. It will become all rain after 4 p.m. Tuesday, with rainfall expected overnight, according to the National Weather Service.

Rain may linger early Wednesday before clearing and becoming warmer, with highs in the mid 40s to around 50 degrees.

“A much-welcomed warm up is expected later this week,” the National Weather Service said.

Thursday and Friday will have high daytime temperatures around 50 degrees, and the weekend will be even warmer, with mid-50s on Saturday and around 60 degrees on Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.
