Wintry Mix Prompts Advisory For Parts Of Hudson Valley
The National Weather Service warns that Tuesday's morning commute could be problematic throughout the region.

With the forecast of a wintry mix of precipitation for Monday night into Tuesday, the National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for Columbia, Dutchess and eastern Ulster counties.
The NWS said the advisory is in effect from 10 p.m. Monday to 10 a.m. Tuesday.
Mixed precipitation is expected with snow accumulations of up to 1 inch and ice accumulations of a light glaze.

Motorists should plan on slippery road conditions, and the hazardous conditions could impact the morning commute.

Additionally, a special weather statement was issued by the NWS for Orange, Putnam, Rockland and northern Westchester counties, saying that a light wintry mix is possible late Monday, beginning after midnight.
It will gradually transition to rain during the morning commute.
Although accumulations are expected to be minimal, any ice could cause travel difficulties.
Motorists should be prepared for the possibility of slippery roads and locally reduce visibilities.
