Woman Dies After Being Pulled From Hudson River

Her name is being withheld until her family can be notified.

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — A woman died after being pulled from the Hudson River Saturday. She reportedly crawled out onto the ice, authorities said.

City of Poughkeepsie Detective Lt. Matt Clark said police do not know why the woman was crawling on the ice, the Poughkeepsie Journal reported.

The Coast Guard was able to get the woman out from under the ice, and she was taken to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.
