Woman And Her Dog Killed In Overnight House Fire In Ulster County
The 74-year-old woman and her dog were found inside the residence and were pronounced dead at the scene.

ELLENVILLE, NY — Authorities are investigating a deadly overnight house fire in Ulster County.
At approximately 9:13 p.m. on Sunday, troopers out of State Police Ellenville barracks responded to a report of a structure fire at a single-family home on Baker Road, in the Town of Rochester.
The Accord Fire Department initially responded to the residence. At the scene, firefighters were informed that occupant, identified as 74-year-old Joanne Carelli, of Ellenville, and her dog were still inside the burning house.

Once the fire was extinguished, Carelli and her dog were found inside the home and were pronounced dead at the scene.
The Ulster County Fire Investigation Unit conducted a preliminary examination of the scene. At this time, there is no evidence of criminal activity, according to NYSP.
