Year-round NY Waterpark Perfect For Day Trip, Extended Stays

MONTICELLO, NY — Sure it's still early spring but it always seems like time to think about summer. In April, the Hudson Valley saw the opening of the Kartrite Resort & Indoor Waterpark which is designed to bring summer fun to the area all year.

Located on 1,600 acres in Sullivan County, the family resort boasts 324 suites, a 2-acre indoor waterpark, complete with water slides, and an indoor entertainment center that features, an arcade, laser tag, a climbing wall, ropes course and mini-bowling.

There are eight themed restaurants and bars that served locally sourced meats and produce. The culinary selections range from a great American bar and casual fare to buffet-style dining and a modern coffee shop, called the Highline.

If you are in need of pampering, there is a spa — called Chill Spa — with massages, healing wraps and full nail service. There is also a 24-hour fitness center — Sweat Fitness.

Rates start at $249 in the low season to $49 in the high season, according to PRNewswire, with an additional per night resort fee. Waterpark day passes are also available.
