Cyclist Killed In Manhattan Hit-And-Run, Police Say

MIDTOWN, NY — A Cyclist was killed by a hit-and-run driver on Monday morning in Midtown, New York City Police Department officials said.

According to the NYPD, the cyclist was hit by a dump truck at the corner of 34th Street and Seventh Avenue at 10:51 a.m. Monday.

Police said both the truck driver and the bicyclist were heading west on 34th Street when the collision happened.

Police said the dump truck driver fled after the collision, and the cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation is underway, police said.
