Broadway Fire: 2-Alarm Blaze Breaks Out In Building, FDNY Says
The fire broke out on the top floor of a building on West 54th Street near Broadway and just down the block from the Ed Sullivan Theater.

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — Firefighters battled a two-alarm blaze for more than an hour on the top floor of a building on West 54th Street near Broadway, an FDNY spokesman said.
The fire broke out on the top floor of 240 W. 54th St., which is a five-story commercial building, an FDNY spokesman said. The fire started just before 4 p.m. and firefighters were on the scene minutes later, the spokesman said.
Firefighters had the blaze under control around 5:20 p.m., fire officials said.

No injuries were reported, an FDNY spokesman said.
