Born in 1971 in The Hague, he gained international recognition for his dynamic performances and collaborations with jazz greats such as Curtis Fuller, Jeff Hamilton, and Deborah Brown. Beets has released numerous acclaimed albums, showcasing his mastery of both standards and original compositions, often drawing inspiration from icons like Oscar Peterson.
