Celebrate America’s 250th birthday on Saturday, July 4, 2026, with a 12:00 noon concert at Grant’s Tomb showcasing performances by a jazz ensemble featuring musicians from the Juilliard School and by the Antebellum Marine Band. View the parade of tall ships from the overlook pavilion at Grant’s Tomb, one of the best locations to observe this much-anticipated America 250 event. Meet President Grant, portrayed by Ken Serfass, and hear his reflections on America’s 100th birthday in 1876. Complimentary BBQ and cake will be provided starting at 11:30 a.m. This event, hosted by the Grant Monument Association, is free and open to all.

What happens when two ambitious young immigrants come to America, reinvent themselves in Las Vegas, charm the world, build a rhinestone kingdom at The Mirage, and then discover that even white tigers have limits?
Shangri-La-La is a fast-moving new comedy musical inspired by the rise of Siegfried &amp; Roy — with original songs, Vegas glamour, impossible dreams, outrageous costumes, magic, friendship, immigrant reinvention, Steve Wynn, Bugsy Siegel, and just enough tiger danger to keep everyone alert.
Written by Mike Meier &amp; Peter Giambalvo, the show is part showbiz fairy tale, part immigrant dream, part Vegas fever dream — and, yes, inspired by actual events. Unfortunately.
The New York performances are part of the Midtown International Theater Festival and will take place at the American Theatre of Actors in Midtown Manhattan.
