Dick Gottfried Wins Uncontested Manhattan Assembly Race
Gottfried, who has served in the State Assembly since 1971 and represents Midtown and Chelsea, was running unopposed for another term.

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — Polls have closed in New York City and votes are being counted, including for the 75th State Assembly District general election, where Richard "Dick" Gottfried became an automatic winner after running unopposed.
Gottfried, 73, has served in the State Assembly since 1971. His 75th District includes parts of the Upper West Side, Midtown, Hell's Kitchen, Murray Hill and Chelsea.
Gottfried also ran on the Working Families Party line. He lives on the Upper West Side and chairs the Assembly's health committee.

He has faced few competitive races in recent years, having also run unopposed in 2018 and 2012, and trounced his Republican opponents in 2016 and 2014.
