Drunk Guy Fieri Fans To Invade New York City This Weekend
Guy Fieri "enthusiasts" — many in costume — will galavant between Midtown Manhattan bars during a pub-crawl known as FieriCon.

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — New York City, meet Flavortown. Fans of celebrity chef Guy Fieri will come together Saturday to get drunk in Midtown Manhattan, stopping at a few area bars before making a pilgrimage to Fieri's Times Square restaurant.
The gathering of the guys is known as FieriCon, and dressing up like the eccentric chef is "highly encouraged," according to a website for the pub crawl.

To properly pay homage to the "Diners, Drive-ins and Dives" host you'll need to rock frosted tips and a thick two-toned goatee (either wig or natural hair works), a bowling shirt (flame decals a plus) some sort of leather bracelet and — the coup de grâce — sports sunglasses worn on the back of your head.
Fieri fanatics are planning to kick off their pub crawl at The Hog Pit on West 26th Street between Sixth Avenue and Broadway around 1:30 p.m. Saturday, according to the event's website. The pub crawl will continue for hours and stop at three other Midtown bars. As dinnertime approaches pub crawlers are encouraged to head to Guy's American Kitchen & Bar for a meal.

The pub crawl is the brainchild of 24-year-old David Gold, who works at a tech startup when he's not planning Fieri-themed soirees, the New York Post reported. Last year's Fiericon drew about 100 people, Gold told the New York Post, all of whom wanted to live like the out-of-the-box chef for a day.
"We just thought, it’s kind of amazing that this guy can go through life dressing like that and talking like that, and we wondered what it would be like to do that for a day," Gold told the Post.
