Grand Central Terminal To Host Day-Long Film Festival
The free film festival, featuring a screening of "North by Northwest" and a montage of Grand Central in the movies, will be held Oct. 19.

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — Grand Central Terminal has served as the setting of some iconic moments in film. On screen, the historic transit hub has hosted deadly shootouts, spontaneous dance numbers and daring escapes from the law. This month, all those moments can be seen projected on the walls of the terminal's Vanderbilt Hall for the station's first-ever film festival.
Grand Central Cinema — a one-day film festival celebrating Grand Central in the movies — will be held Oct. 19. The festival will feature a montage of Grand Central in the movies, a seminar from an award-winning New York historian and a screening of Alfred Hitchcock's 1959 great "North by Northwest," according to a press release.
