Gun Report Prompts Investigation At Midtown School, Police Say
Police responded to Satellite Academy High School in Midtown on Wednesday after reports of a student with a weapon.

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — Police responded to a Midtown high school Wednesday morning after receiving reports of a student with a gun, an NYPD spokesman said.
At 11:45 a.m. police received a call that a student at the Satellite Academy High School on West 30th Street between Sixth and Seventh avenues might have brought a gun to the school, an NYPD spokesman said.
Police investigated the school in an attempt to locate the weapon, an NYPD spokesman said. The search of the school revealed that the reports were unfounded, police said.
