Herald Square Subway Track Fire Injures 1, FDNY Says
Firefighters responded to a fire at the 34th Street station around 8:25 a.m.

NEW YORK, NY — A track fire in the 34th Street-Herald Square subway station left one person injured Friday morning, according to the FDNY.
Firefighters rushed to the Midtown station around 8:25 a.m., an FDNY spokesman said.
There were no details about the person who was injured or how seriously they were hurt.

Northbound R and W trains ran express from Canal Street to 57th Street until 9:15 a.m., according to MTA announcements on Twitter.
Straphangers took to Twitter to report signs of smoke.
