How To Win Tickets To Bruce Springsteen's Sold-Out Broadway Shows

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — Preview performances for Bruce Springsteen's much-hyped Broadway residence are underway. The start of the residence may evoke feelings of distress for Springsteen superfans who were unable to snag an official ticket (thanks Ticketmaster!) and unwilling to pay insane prices for tickets on the resale market.

But there's a glimmer of hope, courtesy of The Boss. "Springsteen on Broadway" launched a lottery which will award 26 tickets to Springsteen's Broadway shows for just $75 a pop. Lottery tickets will be awarded for all shows between Oct. 3 and Springsteen's final show on Feb. 3, according to the rock icon's website.

Fans must enter the lottery for a desired show by 10 a.m. Eastern Standard Time the day prior, according to Springsteen's website. Lottery winners and losers will be announced by 12 p.m. and tickets must be purchased by 4 p.m. Winners are limited to two $75 ticket purchases and the seat locations will vary for each performance. Lottery tickets will be declared void if resold — only real fans need apply.

The lottery is being hosted by Lucky Seat, which conducted similar promotions for popular shows such as "Hamilton" and "The Book of Mormon."

The lottery is sure to please many Springsteen fans who felt jilted by the show's ticket sales process.

Despite signing up for Ticketmaster's "verified fan" program — which aims to cut down the number of people buying tickets solely to resell them at higher prices — many aspiring concertgoers were locked out of ticket sales when they launched in August. To make matters worse, tickets started popping up on resale websites such as Stubhub for thousands of dollars shortly after sales went live.
