InterSchool Orchestras of New York Presents The Edward And Elaine Altman 45th Anniversary Concert
Tickets Available for the May 11, 2017 Concert at Carnegie Hall

The InterSchool Orchestras of New York (ISO) will host the Edward and Elaine Altman 45th Anniversary Concert at Carnegie Hall at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 11. Dinner will be held beforehand at 6:00 p.m. at Le Parker Meridien. This year, InterSchool Orchestras of New York is honoring Annabelle F. Prager, Founder of InterSchool Orchestras of New York; World Renowned Brass Quintet, Canadian Brass; and InterSchool Orchestra alum and Conductor Tito Muñoz. The night will include dinner and musical performances from all eight InterSchool Orchestras ensembles, and feature nearly 350 talented student musicians; Canadian Brass; and Tito Muñoz. At the 45th Anniversary Concert, InterSchool Orchestras alumni Tito Muñoz and Chris Coletti of Canadian Brass will be honored. Tito is a native of Forest Hills, Queens and started playing violin in the fifth and sixth grades at Middle School I.S. 227 Louis Armstrong School in Elmhurst. He began his musical training in the Juilliard School's Music Advancement Program and furthered his studies as a violin student of Daniel Phillips at Queens College (CUNY). In 2006, Tito made his professional conducting debut with the National Symphony Orchestra at the Kennedy Center as a participant of the National Conducting Institute. Since then, he has served as Music Director of the Opéra national de Lorraine and the Orchestre symphonique et lyrique de Nancy in France, and Assistant Conductor of The Cleveland Orchestra, Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra and the Aspen Music Festival. Currently, Tito is in his third season as the Music Director of the Phoenix Symphony.

Chris Coletti is a trumpeter/arranger in Canadian Brass. Before joining the group in 2009, Chris got his professional start as Principal Trumpet of The Huntsville Symphony in Alabama. Throughout his education, Chris received multiple awards and scholarships and won a number of competitions including the Manhattan School of Music Concerto Competition, LaGuardia Arts Concerto Competition, Staten Island Symphony Concerto Competition, The Juilliard School Frieda and Harry Aronson Scholarship, and many more. Since joining Canadian Brass, Chris has performed in hundreds of concerts, TV and radio appearances around the world, and recorded four Billboard chart-topping/award-winning CDs. He received his Masters Degree from The Juilliard School and his Bachelors Degree from Manhattan School of Music.
Founded in 1972 and incorporated in 1974, the InterSchool Orchestras of New York (ISO) began with a single orchestra of 20 children. Today, ISO serves more than 350 children, creating opportunities for school-aged children in New York City to make music together in a nurturing environment where all children can realize their personal best, achieve high artistic standards, and share music with the community.
